Hannah Casky/Caskey was born in 1795 in Orange Co., New York. Her father (Thomas Casky) left New York and moved to Morgan County, Kentucky when Hannah was a child.
Hannah married James McGuire in 1813 in Floyd County, Kentucky. They had a number of children, not all of whom have been confirmed:
Robert McGuire, born c1814
Thomas C. McGuire, born c1815, died 1826
Lydia Ellen McGuire, born 1817, died 1895; m. Joseph W. Perry
Jane McGuire, born 1820, died 1885; m. Milton T. Gibbs
Mary Caskey McGuire, born 1822, died 1893; m. Hamilton W. Vest
Eleanor/Ellender McGuire, born 1824, died 1904; m. Robert C. Day
William Harrison McGuire, born 1827, died 1920
Samuel C. McGuire, born c1829, died 1881
Sarah Ann McGuire, born 1832, died 1905; m. Mr. Gibbs?
Cyntha McGuire, born c1837
Thomas H. McGuire, born c1839
James and Hannah were living on Licking River in Morgan Co. from at least 1823-1830. He appears to have acquired 100 acres there in 1826, most likely land formerly owned by his uncle, Samuel, and then passed to his father and finally to James. Morgan deeds records prior to the Civil War are all burned.
Hannah passed away in 1871. No probate records could be located (probably due to record losses in Morgan Co.). She was buried in Howard/Grandpaster Cemetery, Toms Branch, Morgan , Kentucky, United States.
