Biography
When John was 25 he married Mary Ann Elizabeth Mask on 24 December 1857. The couple had 9 children: Rebecca Braziel Caskey, Thomas Cantrell Caskey, John Robert Caskey, Alonzo Elmer Caskey, James W. Caskey, Martha Alabama Caskey, M. Zipporah Caskey, Cameron Cork Caskey and Mary Elizabeth Caskey.[1]
Military Service: 24 December 1857. Note: Co. H 28th Gray's LA Inf. CSA[1]
In 1860 John (age about 27) was employed in Claiborne, Louisiana. Note: Farmer[2]
John was buried after 30 November 1892 in the Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia, Bienville Parish, Louisiana.
