Catherine Carmack Hall JUNE 14, 1931 – AUGUST 12, 2018 Catherine Carmack Hall, age 87, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died August 12, 2018, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2018, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Herb Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert F. and Polly Weeks Carmack. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Rufus H. Hall of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; daughter, Myra Hall White (husband, Johnny White) of Gordo, Ala.; son, James E. Hall (fiancé, Terri Utley) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; grandchild, Joshua M. White (wife, Terri K. White) of Gordo, Ala.; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Avery and Chase White of Gordo, Ala. Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved God, church and family. Along with Rufus, she has been an active member of Alberta Baptist Church for 49 years and later moving to Circlewood Baptist Church in 2011. She was a member of the Naomi Sunday School Class. Catherine was born and grew up in Fayette, Ala. She graduated from DCH School of Nursing in 1953 and stayed in Tuscaloosa at DCH for her career. She was a Registered Nurse for 40 years and the Head Nurse of the 4 South Unit at DCH Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 1991. She was blessed with many years of good health and the ability to travel extensively with family and friends which she enjoyed. Pallbearers will be Johnny White, Billy Doss, Johnny Cole, Claude Poole, Jr., Steve Hoyle and Henry Wiggins. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Naomi Sunday School Class at Circlewood Baptist Church; caregivers, Wanda Cole, Delphine Hughes and Reba Moton; and nurses and staff of Hospice of West Alabama. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Future Building Fund of Circlewood Baptist Church or the Red Cross.
