General Sir Reginald Alexander Dallas Brooks, GCMG, KCB, KCVO, DSO, KStJ (22 August 1896 – 22 March 1966) was a British military commander who went on to become the 19th and longest-serving governor of Victoria, Australia.[1]
Reginald Alexander Dallas Brooks was born August 22, 1896 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. He is a child of Dallas George Books and Violet Ruth Nissen Shepherd.[2][3]
On census night, 1901, Reginald is with both parents and two siblings in Portsmouth.[4]
Reginald married Muriel Violet Turner Laing toward the end of 1924 in St. George Hanover Square, London, England.[5]
Reginald passed away in 1966 in Frankston, Victoria, Australia.[6]
