I am tracing my great-great grandfather who we know as Michael Brennan [Brenan, Brenon, Brennon, etc]. As it is expected that this person was an Irish political transportee this may be an assumed/assigned name. Research has revealed this person was in Yass/Gundagai region in the 1850’s and was possibly employed on Baltinglass Station up till the mid-1850’s. Evidence suggest his wife Mary was a midwife on Baltinglass Station.
It is almost certain that this couple had two children, [but could be more], christened Thomas and Catherine, [Kate]. I am a descendent of Thomas who married Lucy Du/orrington in Dubbo. However, this does not imply that the connection is within Australia - i've compiled a 23,000 name Brennan database over the last 50 yr and will to share information.

Biography
Michael Brennan was born and lived in Gosford, NSW until the age of 18, where upon he Attended the University of New England. Lived in Canberra for about a decade before becoming the Warden of the University of New England. He was award a Master of Resource Science [UNE] and PhD [SCU] and was the youngest Justice of the Peace in both in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Retired to Hervey Bay, Queensland.
