Hi! Thank you for your contributions to the Buie family profiles I manage. Please send a trusted list request for any you'd like to co-manage. I got into the family sideways, working on adding the family of Shirley Marion White (1923-) at the request of a friend of her family. She married & divorced Nathaniel Noland Piazza (1919-1973) & until the family friend contacted me, I had not known that Nat had a daughter! (Nat was my first cousin once removed.)

My plan is to orphan the Buie profiles once I get them in better shape (see my working notes at Space:Noland-165_2023_Connect-a-Thon_Profiles).

Cheers, Liz

Thank you. I am also working on the Buie's as a sideways project -- my husband's maternal relatives married into the line. I ahve been workign on putting a framework of those families online, categorized to the cemeteries in their home counties, in order to help others flesh out their trees. Many of these profiles I also orphan as they are not directly connected to him. I hope I do not interfere too much with your working methods.
Your work improves the profiles so no interference at all!

Cheers, Liz

Hi Elizabeth. I have been looking at DNA matches and working with DNA Painter in hopes of clustering a group to help break down a brick wall on my Allen line. A day's work has lead me to you. we are dna matches as are other kits you manage (I am on Ancestry, GEDmatch and My Heritage) and I suspect we connect on the Allen line, surely the Hadley line too, and probably more. My maternal grandmother's line is full of Quakers. I am seeing a pattern in the Allen ancestry of several matches leading to a Zachariah Allen. my 4th great grandparents were both Allen, supposedly cousins, but the husband of the pair is my problem, strangely, I have not been able to identify his parents. I would love to hear your thoughts, share notes, whatever it takes. Sandy
Good morning to you, cousin. We are related through the Beck family line.

Hi Elizabeth, Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

It looks like Quakers would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding a tag - Quakers will help you get updates about activity for that project. or Irish Roots tag Irish_Roots

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Janet ~ Pre-1700 Greeter

I see that you have an interest in DNA study and have taken a DNA test. Would you be interested in starting a One Name Study for either your surname or another name you are researching? The purpose of the One Name Study is to coordinate any WikiTreers who are researching one particular surname and to provide a resource for collaboration.

For instructions on how to get started and suggestions for getting the most out of your study, see: One Name Study

For more information, contact Doug or Alison with any questions.

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for your interest in the DNA Project! I awarded you the DNA Project member badge, and added you to the list on the project page. If you could put your WikiTree ID next to any tests you've done on that page, that would be great!

Long time family historian, checking this site out to see if it can help me in my research and if I can help others.

Have completed many lines of research on my and my husband's lines, but there are always holes to fill and brick walls to overcome!
