Biography

Johan Georg 'George' Bergdoll was born 13 Jun 1854 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, USA. ^[1] He was the son of Augusta Annie Werzenger and George Bergdoll. They were from Baden, Germany. His older siblings were:

1. Louisa Christina Bergdoll
2. Philip Bergdoll
3. Wilhelmina "Mina" Karoline Bergdoll

His parents and older siblings had been born in Baden, Germany; the family had immigrated to the United States about 1853.

He lived in the greater Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania, mostly in Delaware County.

His brother Charles "Charlie" Bergdoll was born.

On 20 Dec 1857, his brother Lewis Bergdoll was born in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Joseph lived in Philadelphia, worked as an electrical engineer, was single, born in Birmingham on 5 Nov 1877, and the son of John and Martha Corbett Frigar. Augusta was born 6 Dec 1880 in Upper Chichester Township, lived in Upper Chichester Township, and was single. Their marriage license was issued on June 25th with the consent of the father of Upper Chichester Township. ^{[8] [9]}

In Aug 1905, his brother-in-law Fred Spangler (39) died. ^[10]

On 30 Jun 1907, J George Bergdoll updated his last will and testament. He wanted his daughter Gussie M Frigar to have his Sarge Brown Marr, his son John J his milk Rouk and wagon, his each of his children Phillip, Harry, and Mary M one dollar, and to his wife Annie all the rest of his personal property. Witnesses were George Nessenshaker and David R Morrilow. ^[11]

On 6 Jul 1907, George Bergdoll (53) died in Boothwyn, Lower Chichester Township, Delaware County from phthisis (pulmonary tuberculosis). He was white, a farmer, and married. He was born in Germany and his parents were also born in Germany. He was buried at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, Delaware County. ^{[12] [13]}
