There are too many Nathans in my ancestry. I need to prove Nathan BARNETT'S Virginia line. I would like to know my ancestor that came over on the boat. My ancestry in FamilySearch is correct until you reach Nathan. Then it is a mess. The Andrews/Griffin/Barnett bible is a great help. John G Barnett is buried within 20 miles of where I now live. Also, the cemetery in Magnolia Springs, Jasper, Texas contains many Barnett ancestors. This is located near where I was born and still live. I am very interested in what can be done with my DNA. Thanks, and by the way, I am 87 years old with sound mind.

I have Barnat/Barnett's in 16th and 17th centuries originating in London and then Staffordshire before travelling to Perth, Scotland. I don't know how accurate this early information is but perhaps the Staffordshire connection is a link to your family. I cannot find any connection between us but I do have a few Keith Barnett's in my tree, so maybe this was a family name.
