Noble Armstrong was born on 17 Nov 1846 in the Town of Oakland, Jefferson County, Wisconsin Territory. He was the son of Daniel Armstrong and his second wife Elizabeth Hall, one of their six children, fifteen in total.
In 1880, Noble was aged 33, the head of household, single, and a farmer living in ED 260 of the Town of Reedsburg with his brother Myron Armstrong (31), his sister-in-law Josephine Armstrong (29), his nephews Milton and Herbert Armstrong (6 and 4 respectively) and his mother Betsey Armstrong (63). He noted that his father was born in New York and his mother in Ireland.[1]
On 2 Jan 1882, Noble married Mrs. Jennie Palmer, daughter of William and Elmira Colborn, in Sauk County, Wisconsin.[2]
At some point, Noble and Jennie left Wisconsin for Kansas, settling in Barber County near Hazelton. Noble passed away in 1885 or 1886 in Barber County. On 26 Aug 1886, the Medicine Lodge Cresset posted a Notice of Appointment regarding Noble's estate, and that Jennie Armstrong was now the guardian of Bessie and Jennie Armstrong.[3]
