Peggy played for Australia in the first women's test cricket match (test cap no. 10). The test was played at Brisbane, Australia in 1934. She was the first Australian to take a wicket in women's Test cricket. She formed a formidable spin partnership with Anne Palmer.
She made her Test debut Debut against England at Brisbane from December 28 to the 31st 1934. She would go on to play her last test also against England at The Oval in England from July 10th - 13th 1937.
Peggy Antonio married John Howard in 1943 in Victoria, Australia.
Peggy passed away in January 2002 at or about Bundoora, in Victoria, Australia and was cremated.
