Biography

Emily Augusta Andrews was born in 1824 at Walworth in Surrey. She was the daughter of Rev. Edward Andrews, a Congregational minister, and his wife Elizabeth, born Elizabeth Honour Symons. ^{[1] [2]}

Coventry Kearsey Dighton Patmore, bachelor, of full age, a gentleman, of St Marylebone, son of Peter George Patmore, gentleman; and Emily Augusta Andrews, spinster, of full age, of Hampstead, daughter of Edward Andrews (deceased); were married at the parish church of St John, Hampstead, on 11 September 1847. The witnesses were called Charles Orme and Eliza Patmore. ^[1] In a newspaper notice of this wedding, Emily was described as daughter of the late Rev. Edward Andrews, LL.D. ^[3] (Charles Orme was Emily's brother-in-law; Eliza Patmore may be Coventry's mother.)

In 1851 Emily Patmore was living at 8 The Grove in Kentish Town in London with her husband Coventry, their children, and her mother-in-law Eliza Patmore. Her age was given as 27, implying a birth date in 1823 or 1824. Her birthplace was given as Newington, Surrey. ^[2]

She died on 5th July 1862 in Hampstead, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom.
