He married Martha Emmaline Pierce in 1873. Children:

"William Talliver (sp) ADAMS was born in Missouri, Nov. 28, 1851, and died Sept. 18 (1940). He was married to Miss Emmaline Pearce in 1877. He united in the Southern Baptist church in 1935. he leaves seven children, John of Headrick, Bert of Snyder, Henry of Big Springs, Aland (Olen?) of Snyder, Mrs. Laura FULLER of Roosevelt, Mrs. Lillie MITCHELL of Okla. City, one sister Frances SPLAWN of Mangram, 32 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Interment was in Rogers cemetery with Belford funeral home of Altus in charge of arrangements."
