You're quite right, I'm still getting to grips with the accurate procedures, please forgive my mis-guided enthusiasm. I have no actual proof of sources for this, I think, rather I'm just interpreting the date range along with the location (Kilmarnock) and making assumptions.

At this stage I'm still learning, using Wiki-tree, Roots Magic 7 (and therefore access to familysearch.org), a 1st edition of the Ralston Saga (found in the loft of my house) as well as information passed to me first hand by living family. Its impossible to say at this time definitively, however I think that Thomas and Agnes are the parents with possibly Bessie (Adams-3764) being a sibling. Once I have confirmed for sure what I do have (from family or local graves) I'll subscribe to some other online services and look into this further.

In the meantime the connection cannot be made as you quite rightly suggest, however I've made a note to look into this further and hope to find accurate source material.

Thanks for keeping me straight!

You could be right. It's hard to find sources that far back. We could add the parents and mark it "uncertain" with a note as to why you think it's correct. If we find out later it's wrong its not hard to fix it.
Hi there, I am still trying to figure out definitive proof of actual genealogy but isn't it possible that Elspeth's Parents are Adams-11099 and Lymburner-12?

I don't see any records at ScotlandsPeople for any female Adams born in Ayr from 1648 to 1660. Do you have any sources for them being their parents?
