محمود طرزي is Notable.

Mahmud Tarzi was an Afghan intellectual & politician from the Tarzi line of the Mohammadzai tribe of Pashtuns, founded by his father. His work in Afghanistan was recognized for having been influenced by the efforts of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's Young Turk movement in Türkiye.

His family was exiled from Afghanistan in 1882, & he traveled around the Middle East for a time before being invited back by Habibullah Khan in 1902. Upon his return, he took the position of Chief of the Translation Bureau for several years. From 1919-1922 & 1924-1927, he was the Afghan Foreign Minister. He went back into exile in Türkiye in 1929, where he died four years later.
