Biography

Margarita was born about 1807 ^[1], daughter of Giacomo Zito and Antonina La Sala ^[2]. At age 19 in 1826, she married 28-year-old Leonardo Montelione, a field hand ^[3]. They had at least 11 children, 6 of whom died in early childhood. Four of them died in 1840 to 1841.
