to clarify, I add these categories above the Biography:
Category:England, Drinkwater Name Study
Category:Drinkwater Name Study
Category:One Name Studies
Do you want me to add this to spouses and children of Drinkwaters also? E.g. I added to spouses (James Packer and William Tinson) of https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Drinkwater-2252, but was not sure whether to add to her 8 Packer children, a couple of whom have Drinkwater middle names.
regards,
Martin

Also, if you go to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Drinkwater_Name_Study, you will see all of the subcategories. Categories are a fun thing. Click on the Categories icon in the 'Edit Text' bar (the bar that shows when you are in edit mode) and start typing. More info on it: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Categorization#:~:text=While%20in%20edit%20mode%2C%20look%20for%20this%20category,category%20tag%20will%20be%20added%20to%20the%20profile.

so it sounds like you only want Drinkwater One Name Study categories on those that have Drinkwater as their birth surname, right?
I don't understand what you mean by adding them all LNAB? Can you give an example?
Martin
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand this Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
I'm not sure why they did this, or exactly how if they used my info, or whether they have an interest in these persons. I couldn't find any simple way to ask them directly.
I have extensive family tree on Ancestry and Family Search complete with sources and numerous uploaded images of the source material. I am not sure if there is an easy way to transfer this to WikiTree? I am also not sure how to put an image in to the source section. E.g. Birth and marriage certificates, christening, banns and census images.
Perhaps you can advise?
The RottsSearch you mention just brings up info I already have on Ancestry, FindmyPast MyHeritage etc. I don't see any way to transfer that into WikiTree other than cut/paste hyperlinks or transcription info. Am I missing something?
thanks again,
Martin

PS There is a tool that can help with cleaning up GEDCOM created biographies. It lets you concentrate on the genealogy rather than the formatting. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
I also noticed that you have an interest in England so you may want to join the England Project. You can join by answering this post.

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor.

I have only just discovered the existence of WikiTree. I have been using Ancestry and FindMyPast for many years. In recent years I have been uploading to FamilySearch as it had a "single" theoretical Family Tree, which was both free and enabled a form of collaboration. Seeing WikiTree it seems to have some similar capabilities, which piqued my interest. I need to study how it works first

Martin
I have not found any relations to the surname Silman but it would be interesting if the surname Silman and Selman intersected at some point in time.
Click here for info on Ellen Silman , England and Wales Birth Registration Index, 1837-2008 and Ellen Silman, England and Wales Census, 1871
David
yes, that is our Ellen Silman. I couldn't find her in WikiTree

I've signed the honour code. I'm unclear as to whether it is OK to upload images of Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Census Records, Baptisms etc. to individuals in WikiTree. It seems that without these, many sources are just very weak.
Can you clarify for me?
regards,
Martin
Yes, you can add a photo/image of the Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Census Records, Baptisms etc. as long as they are in your possession or they are not copyrighted. You can not use any text or photos that are copyrighted on WikiTree.
