Esther, daughter of David Osten Yingling and Sarah Mae Nicodemus, was born 31 January 1905 in Juniata Gap, Logan Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania.[1]
In 1910, four-year-old Esther A. lived on Coleman's Extension to Juniata in Logan Township in the home owned by her parents David O. (age 36, repairs engines) and Sarah M. Yingling (39, mother of 10, eight living) with her siblings Pearl Sylvana (17, seamstress for dressmaker), Alice May (15), Verna Grace (9), Edith Maude (8), Bertha Mary (7), Edward Ralph (2) and Ethel M. (nine months).[2]
David O. (age 45, railroad shop machinist), Sarah M. (49), Esther A. (14, silk mill picker), and her siblings Edith M. (17, silk mill quiller), Bertha F. (16, silk mill laborer), Edward R. (12), Ethel M. (10) and Hazel Ruth (4) remained in Logan Township in 1920..[3]
Esther died unmarried at age 21 on 3 April 1926 in Altoona, Blair County, and was buried there on 6 April 1926 at Grandview Cemetery.[1]
