Biography

Birth

John was baptised on 20th August 1826 at St Mary the Virgin, Minster in Thanet, Kent.^[1] He was the son of Pilcher and Ann.

Marriage

John Wrightson married Elizabeth Pointer on 6th February 1853 at St John in Thanet, Margate, Kent.^[2][3] John, a 27 year old bachelor was living in Margate at the time and working as a baker. His father was Pilcher Wrightson, a miller. Elizabeth was 23 and a spinster, living at High Street, Ramsgate and her father Augustus was by this time a victualler. The witnesses to the marriage were Pilcher Osborne Wrightson and Ann Pointer.
