Thomas was born in 1822. He was the son of Thomas Wrightson. He passed away in 1897.
Kentucky Politician. A native of England, he was born in the historic walled city of York in North Yorkshire. He emigrated to America and settled in Northern Kentucky. Wrightson entered into a career as a politician and was elected to the Kentucky Senate in 1869. He served in that capacity until 1873. In 1870, he was the Republican candidate for Governor of Kentucky and lost the election to John White Stevenson. He was married to Jane Elizabeth Shaw. His daughter, Georgianna, married Charles L. Raison, Jr., a noted attorney and Judge. Wrightson died at his residence in Newport, Kentucky in 1897 when he was 75 years old.
