While working with the construction branch at the Lithgow Power House yesterday afternoon, Mr. Richard Henry Wren, of Laidley-street, collapsed and died. He was aged only 49. Mr. Wren had been in good health all his life and his sudden death came as a great shock to his relatives and friends. Born in Canowindra, deceased lived there until four years ago when he came to Lithgow. He was the proprietor of a mixed business in Mort's Estate but started work two months ago at the power house. During his early days he played Rugby League and cricket in Canowindra. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. M. J. Wren, two- daughters, Misses Dawn and Allison Wren and six sons, Allan, Chris,Leslie, Robert, Donald and John, all of Lithgow. The funeral will take place at Canowindra tomorrow afternoon, arrangements being in the hands of Messrs Wood and Wood.
