Biography

Rienje Wouda was born on 28 January 1896 in Opende as the daughter of Jan Wouda and Sjoukje Bijma.^[1]

On 28 May 1914, Rienje Wouda married Pieter Bekkema in Grootegast. It is stated that groom is 28, labourer, born and living in Opende, son of Arend Bekkema (49) and Zwaantje Wonderman (45) and that the bride is 18, without occupation, born and living in Opende, daughter of Jan Wouda (57 melkrijder) and Sjoukje Bijma (deceased).^[2]
