Biography
Kelcea was born in 1856 in Nova Scotia. He married Justina Balsar (Balsar-14) in October 1883[1] and had at least 12 children between 1882 and 1906 [2] He passed away about 1934[3].
Name Spelling
How many ways may one man's name be spelled: Kelcia, Kilcia, Kilsie? Above it is Kelsie, but it could have just as easily been Kelsey.
Kelcea's son, Frank Waldo Wood's marriage registration (to Sarah Elizabeth Huntley) notes his parents names as Kelcea B. Wood and Justiney Bolsor.[4]
On their gravestone Find A Grave: Memorial #167080625, their names are noted as: Kelcea V (1856 - 1934) and Jestina (1864 - 1948).
Middle name Vilroy was added with input from Jennifer Hockey 30 March 2023.
