Maxie Mae Craft, 91, died Friday, November 14, 1997, of heart failure, at Magee General Hospital in Magee.

Services were held Sunday, November 16, 1997 at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church in Magee with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Craft was a native of Simpson County, a member of Kennedy Springs Baptist Church and the widow of George S. Craft.

She is survived by six sons, R.T. Craft, Lonnie Craft, George Craft, Glenn Craft all of Magee; Elmer Roberts, Morton and Rayford Craft of Richland; six daughters, Louise Warren, Georgia Strickland, Tina Puckett, all of Magee; Jean Lewis, Florence; Dorothy Carter, Florence; and Martha Ponder, Clinton; 26 grandchildren, 41 greatgrandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by daughter, Mertis.
