Hi Christine

I am one of the Warden descendants who has inherited many, many photographs of the Wardens and their families. I am keen to get in touch with anyone who has photographs they cannot identify and who might also be able to help identify some of mine. I also have a facebook page for "Family history of Major Henry Douglas Warden" which is also a way to contact me. There are a couple of Warden descendants who are keeping in touch with each other and trying to help each other "fill in the gaps" . I would love to hear from you. I also have some pictures that where taken in Durban by the photographer Kirsch. Using the knowledge about that photographer, I can date the one photograph to between 1884-1887 (well dressed, mature lady, sitting, dressed in black" and the other (Head and shoulders of a young man with moustache and suit" to between 1877-1899. These might ring a bell for you. I have tons of other photographs of other Wardens and their families. Kind regards Colleen Hart (nee Edgecombe)

Thank you for spotting the mistake on Lourens-66. I corrected the middle names and merged with Lourens-64.
Christine, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz! Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

The South African Roots Project seems to fit your ancestors. Click the link to read how to join.

Please refer to the new recommended sources for Pre-1700’s.Cite Reliable sources

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find a project..

Thank you for the death notice of my great great grandfather Hugh Callaghan.
Naand Christine,

In die twee SA projekte (Dutch Cape Colony alias Cape of Good Hope) en South African Roots sit ons al die voorname onder First Name en gebruik glad nie Middle Name nie.

Dag Christine,

Hi!

Just checking in with a few quick tips:

Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".

Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, please ask!
