Biography

Caspar Wolfe was born September 3, 1784, the son of Nicholas Wolfe and Anna Dorothea Hoffmann of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia ^[1]

On November 30, 1813, he married Mary Margaret Schmidt, daughter of Johannes Schmidt and Elizabeth Houghton, also of Lunenburg^[1], and their children included:

1. George, born March 19, 1816^[1]
2. Mary Ann, born June 6, 1819^[1]
3. Joseph, born September 25, 1821^[1]
4. Michael Nicholas, born June 9, 1824^[1]
5. George William, born June 22, 1827^[1]
6. Louis, born June 13, 1830^[1]

Mary Margaret (Schmidt) Wolfe died January 22, 1866, at age 75^[1]

Caspar Wolfe died February 28, 1869 at age 85^[1]
