Biography
In the 1851 census William (age 45), Hand Loom Weaver, was the head of household at 26, Newtown of Pitcairns, Dunning, Perthshire.[1]
William's death (age 49) happened on 19 Dec 1855 in Dunning and was registered there, He was noted as being a cotton weaver, son of David Winton, Cotton weaver, deceased and of Jane Winton, ms Gray , winder. It was noted he was all his life in Dunning. He was married to Elizabeth Gray and thier children were listed. He had had no medical attention since leaving Perth Infirmary 2 years previously and had Diabetes fo 36 years. He was buried in the Dunning churchyard. His son John was the informant. [2]
