Biography
Gabriel W. Wilmoth was born about 1828 in Tennessee[1]
He is said to have married Letha Caroline Ashley about 1848 in Hickman County, Tennessee, United States of America.[2]
He may have been the father of several children listed with him in the 1850 and 1860 census.[1][3]
He died between 1860 and 1880 when Caroline stated she was widowed, living in Arkansas.
Research Notes
- There are a number of Arkansas Civil War documents which have both the names G. W. Wilmoth and George W. Wilmoth serving the Confederate army in 1862-1865. It is not known whether these are this G W Wilmoth. 11 June 2011.
- Death date about 1865 is from the original gedcom.
