Biography
Francis Sacheverell Wilmot was a son of Rev Edward Sacheverell Wilmot and Ann Chambers. He was baptised 28 June 1804, Kirk Langley, Derbyshire.[1]
He was educated at Cambridge University, being admitted to St John's College, 26 February 1823 and gaining BA 1829.[2]
He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn 6 June 1827.[3] He was called to the Bar 3 May 1838.[4]
Francis married Anne Broomhead, 23 April 1842, Darley Dale, Derbyshire.[5][6] They were no known issue.
Francis was at some time a captain of the Derby militia.[2]
Francis and Anne were subsequently recorded in census returns
- 1851, Etwall, Staffordshire. Recorded as not-practising barrister, farmer.[7]
- 1861, Allithwaite, Lancashire. Gentleman farmer.[8]
- 1871, Shenstone, Staffordshire. Barrister[9]
- 1881, Allestree, Derbyshire. Retired Captain (Army).[10]
