Edward (Wilmot) Wilmot-Sitwell was born in Derbyshire, England.

Birth

Edward Sacherevell Wilmot-Sitwell was born in 1749 in Morley, Derbyshire and was christened there on 28 November 1749, the son of Richard Wilmot and Dorothy (Degge) Wilmot[1]

Name Change

In 1772 Edward assumed the surname of SITWELL
in pursuance of the Will of Elizabeth Sitwell, daughter and eventually sole heir of George Sitwell Esq. of Renishaw, Derbyshire[2]

Marriage

Edward Sacherevell Wilmot-Sitwell married Lucy Wheeler on 18 March 1777 in Leamington Hastings, Warwickshire[3]

Stainsby House

Edward Sacherevell Wilmot-Sitwell purchased Stainsby House, Horsley, Derbyshire in 1785 from the Barber family[4]

Death

Edward Sacherevell Wilmot-Sitwell passed away on 11 May 1836 aged 86 years and was buried on 18 May 1836 at St. Clement’s Churchyard, Horsley, Derbyshire[5][6]

Shouldn't his LNAB be Wilmot rather than Sitwell, if he only assumed the name of Sitwell in 1772? The biography says he was born in Morley, not Horsley.
