Biography

Asher was born in about 1834 to Asher Willson and Susannah Willson. He married Phebe Bostwick in 1860. ^[1]

"Asher Willson, of American parentage, came from the township of Brock and settled on Lot 21, Con. 5, in the year 1815. He had a family of eight sons and four daughters. The sons names were: Casper, Oliver, Joseph, William, Elijah, Cornelius, Hiram and Asher. Casper settled on Lot 21, Con. 4, and married Elizabeth Hubbard, by whom he had nine children. His son Edward Willson lives on the farm. William married Mary Sharrard, daughter of James W. Sharrard, by whom he had two children, Henry C. Willson (editor and proprietor of the Waterville Telegraph, Kansas, U. S.) and Olive Willson, Brooklin, Ont. Cornelius operated a carding mill for many years in the seventh concession (Lot 14). His wife still lives in Brougham." ^[2]
