The house in which the Williamson family lived was in Lady Well Gate in Welton[7]. This photo shows the house. Albert and Martha Williamson had 11 children according to family memories. Not all of the names have yet been traced.

Albert Williamson died after a tragic accident in which he was seriously burned in a petrol fire. According to family members the incident took place at Melton Garage on the A63 west of Hull on Boxing Day 1939. He had been lighting a paraffin stove and had mistakenly used petrol instead of paraffin to light it. He died of shock as a result of his injuries on 30 December 1939[8]. His death was announced in the Hull Daily Mail on 1st January 1940[9]. That edition of the newspaper also included a news report about the tragic circumstances of his death.
