Biography

Jennie Mary Williamson^[1][2] was born 18 Nov 1837^[3][4] in Tennessee^[4][3], the daughter of John Newton Williamson (1810-1887) and Sarah P. (Fentress) Williamson (1813-1898)^[4].
She never married and lived with her spinster sister Susie for most of her adult life^[1][3][5].
Jennie died on 31 Oct 1927 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee^[4] and was buried on 1 Nov 1927 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville in the Williamson family plot.

Research Notes

• The informant for the death certificate^[4] was the wife of Jennie's brother George.
• Jennie Mary does NOT appear in the family of John and Sarah in the 1860 or 1870 censuses. She would have been 22 respectively 32 at the time and had perhaps left home to live on her own. She and her sister Susie had returned to their parents home in the 1880 census^[6].
• Jennie Mary is recorded in the 1880 census^[6] as being 32 years old. This is believed to have been a recording error. She would have been 42 .

   Note that the record has been misindexed. "Jon" (a female) could be anything as it is bad writing and then overwritten with other notations - possibly "Sou A". For the age of Sou, what is written is "63" but given birth month July 1836, 64 would be correct. For the age of Jennie, what is written is "63" but given birth month Nov 1837, 62 would be correct.
