North Carolina Estate Files, 1663-1979 with Rachel being mentioned[2]
Per: Richard Lentz (rlentzhsd@earthlink.net)***Saw your post on Samuel Williamson. I see some differences, getting my info from Sons of American Revolution applications. You show Rachel who married an Orr as Samuel's daughter. Rachel was Samuel's sister and daughter of James & Jane McEwen Williamson. James (b. 1713 Scotland d. 1806 York Dist, SC) owned a plantation made famous in South Carolina's "Battle of Williamson's Plantation" also known as "Huck's Defeat". I'm working on this because I believe I also descend from James Williamson.***

Thus the question remains ....there is a daughter also buried there “ Rachel Williamson Orr (1773- 1867). FAG memorial : 121265312 . Those dates would preclude her from being the daughter of James Williamson & Jane McEwen and are more contemporaneous with Samuel’s offspring . Could she be named after a daughter of James & Jane ...which could help explain them being conflated here...? Otherwise “ Jane McEwen Williamson “ would have given birth at age “70” ...?
