Jane was born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia around 5 April 1783.

Jane married Edward Barbour around 9 December 1799 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.^[1] Her father Robert gave consent to the marriage.^[2]

Jane is named in her husband Edward's 1854 will.^[3]
