John was born in 1873. He is the son of John Williamson and Hannah Dixon.
Report from "Daily Telegraph and North Murchison and Pilbarra Gazette", 16th March 1923 Kangaroo Hunter's Death On Saturday last the R.M. at Cue, Mr. E. Y. Butler, received word from Meekatharra, that the dead body of a man. named John Williamson who was engaged at kangaroo hunting, had been found at Holden's. Further par- ticulars state that the deceased who was about 57 years of age, was found about a mile from his camp, death evidently being through heart failure. At the time the deceased was appar- ently returning to primp with his horses.
