Samuel went by the name Edmund for part of his life. In 1910, he was the head of household with his wife and 5 children. He was running the farm with the help of his adult sons. [6]
Samuel died in 1916 and is buried in Kissee Mills Cemetery, Taney, Missouri, near where he lived his whole life. [7]
