Biography

Hannah or Anna Williams was the daughter of John and Anna[1] (unknown) Williams of Scituate. Her father died between December and March 1667 (dates his will was written and probated). Specifically, he left an inheritance to his grandchildren, the children of John Barker: Anna (Barker) Pratt, Deborah (Barker) Burden, Mary Barker, John Barker and Abraham Barker. He also mentioned Abraham Blish, and his widow Elizabeth[2] [3] [1] [4] [5] [6]

Hannah or Anna Williams married twice, first to John Barker circa 1632, and second to Abraham Blish circa 1654[7] [1] [8] [5]

John Barker was a bricklayer who purchased the right to run a ferry, and drowned in 1652. There was an inquest on December 14, 1652[9] [10] [1] [11]

Abraham Blish buried his first wife Ann on May 16, 1651, and married Hannah Barker. Their son Abraham was born 16 October, 1654. He buried his wife Hannah on March 16, 1658. This record also shows the birth of Abraham's oldest children Sarah (December 2, 1641) and Joseph (April 4, 1648), and the marriage to his third wife Alice Derby January 4, 1658[12] [5]

Williams-17227 and Williams-89 appear to represent the same person because: same dates, parents, spouse (barker) and children.

This was the second wife of Abraham Blish, not the first. The death date aligns with the sources for her.
