Biography

Hugh was born on 8 January 1802. He was the son of John Williams and Margaret Williams.

Hugh was baptised[1]on 9 September 1802 in the parish of St. Asaph, Denbighshire, Wales, United Kingdom.

The June 1841 census[2]shows Hugh residing alone at Kineton House, Kineton, Warwickshire, England, United Kingdom.

Hugh applied for a Marriage Licence[3]to marry Henrietta Williams on 11 May 1843.

Hugh married[4][5]Henrietta Williams on 16 May 1843 in the parish church, St. Martins-in-the-Fields, Middlesex, England. At the time of the ceremony Hugh, an Esquire, was residing in Kineton and Henrietta Williams was residing at Northumberland House, London, England. Both his father John Williams and father in law Watkin Williams-Wynn are noted as Baronets. The marriage was registered[6]during the second quarter of 1843 in the district of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Middlesex.

At the time of his daughter Edith Williams baptism[7]on New Year's Day, 1 January 1849 in the parish of Kineton, the family were residing in KIneton and was noted as an Esquire.

The March 1851 census[8]shows Hugh residing with his family at Manor House, Swine Street, Kineton.

The April 1861 census[9][10]shows Hugh residing with his family at[11]Mansion House, Bodelwyddan, Flintshire, Wales, United Kingdom.

The April 1871 census[12]shows Hugh continuing to reside with his family in Bodelwyddan.

Hugh, a Baronet and late of Bodelwyddan passed away[13]on 10 May 1876 aged seventy four. His passing was registered[14][15]during the second quarter of 1876 in the district of St. Asaph. Hugh was laid to rest[16][17]a few days later on 13 May 1876 at St. Margaret's Churchyard, Bodelwyddan. Hugh's probate[18]was administered at the Principal Registry, London six weeks after his passing on 27 June 1876 detailing effects of under £16,000 0s 0d to Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn of Denbigh, a Baronet and Salusbury Mainwaring of Oteley Park, Shropshire, an Esquire.
