Biography

Myrtle Elizabeth 'Myrtie' Williams was born June 11, 1895 and is the daughter of Ramier Williams and Eliza Robinson. She grew up in McClellen, West Virginia[1][2] along with four siblings; Verchie May Williams, Gertrude Esta Williams, Bertie E Williams and Cleo Williams.

Myrtie married Boyd C Swiger February 1, 1914[3] and they made their home in Grant, West Virginia[4][5] until his death March 13, 1938. Boyd provided for the family by working in the oil fields building rigs and farming. Together they raised two children, Glenn Swiger[6][7][8] and Don Swiger.[9] Myrtie moved to Charlotte County, Florida where she died February 4, 1980 and is buried in Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, West Virginia.[10]
