Biography
Cicero was born in 1832. He was a farmer on land in Wake Co. NC near Raleigh given by his father. Marriage License 23 Feb. 1856 between Cicero Williams and Elizabeth C. Perry Rites of Matrimony 4 March 1856.
Enlisted as Private, Confederate Army, Infantry 50th Regiment, Company C, Wake County, NC, 15 March 1862
Captured Alligator River, Tyrrell Co, NC, 29 Sept. 1864.
Register of prisoners confined at Military Prison, Camp Hamilton Va, 16 Nov. 1864; said to be from Roanoke Island.
Released 24 Nov. 1864 by order of Maj. Gen. Butler and sent to Point Lookout, MD
Prisoner of war at Fortress Monroe VA 24 Nov. 1864.
Released at Point Lookout MD from May 12-14, 1865 on taking the oath of allegiance.
His widow filed for a pension in 1896 from New York state (Ancestry Civil War Pension Index).
No Will or death record is found.

By the 1880s the farm produced 82 bales of cotton and grew garden vegetables which were sold in a stall at Raleigh city market.
