Biography
Mrs. Easterly's car was struck by a westbound vehicle when she attempted to cross Route 13 at the intersection of Rt. 13 and Jackson Country Club Road, otherwise known as Easterly Corner. The driver of the other vehicle said he saw Mrs. Easterly's car pull up to the intersection. He blew his horn, but she continued across the highway directly into his path. Mrs. Easterly was thrown from her car on impact. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Doctor's Hospital in Carbondale. She was 63 years old.[1]
