Biography

I have been researching this family and others for about 25 years. I received a certificate in Genealogical Research in 2015, and participated in ProGen 22. After all these years and all this study, it never ceases to amaze me when I break through another brick wall and discover how little I really know. I am eager to learn what I don't know and to share what I do!

I have ad my DNA analysed, and I am 100% European, with a smidgen of Balkan. My Paternal ancestors are from colonial New England, a majority of them from New Haven, Connecticut, but also from Colonial Virgina, as well as lines from Glamorgan, Wales, the Netherlands, and one line from Lanarkshire, Scotland. My maternal ancestors are French Canadian's from the St Lawrence River Valley, and Irish. It will be interesting to find the Balkan in there.

Surnames I am focusing on include :Williams, Jones, Johns, Smith, Martin, Hart, Van Gordon, Gaffney, Earner, Cunningham. There are the lines where I am looking to break through brick walls, answer questions, or connect with DNA matches.

My husband is of Italian, Irish, Isle of man, and German descent, with trace amounts of Ashkenazi Jewish. I have created a one Place study of his ancestral hometown of Acerra, Italy. Please come take a look if you are interested! Italians from the town of Acerra in Napoli

His surnames I am actively searching are: Duro, Schiavone, Brucci, Balletta, Caporale, Gallo, de Rosa, Kelly, Lyons, Litskey, Wilkins, Brunning, Gelling, and Quayle.

Hello Patti,

I noticed your 23&Me match on the profile for James Dillard and Mary Ann Dillard wife of Thomas Gresham d. 1800. Do you know how our lines connect? Thank you, Mary

Hi!

This is Chris from the Italy Project. As part of the annual project check-in, can you fill in the project survey? This will let us know that you are still interested in the project and which teams you'd like to participate in.

Thanks and have a great day!

Hey Patti. I noticed the great work you did at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Italians_from_the_town_of_Acerra_in_Napoli. We had similar ideas. Didn't quite do it in the same format, but the same idea.

Hi Patti, I sent you a message a couple of weeks ago and hadn't heard back. Sometimes they go to spam. If you don't see the message, please let me know and I'll resend. Thanks! Emma~~Adoption Angels
Ciao! This is just a general check-in for members of the Italy project. I am checking to see who is still interested in being a member of the project as we go through some much needed restructuring. I was also wondering what teams you would like to be on. We’ve created teams for each part of Italy. North, South, Islands etc. They will be explained further in an upcoming g2g post. Stay tuned. For now, please let me know if you are still interested in the project and if you’d like to be a member of a team.

Hi Patti

The Ireland Project (previously the Irish Roots Project) has now changed its structure into Teams. We require everyone with the Ireland Badge to be a member of at least one Team or Sub-Team and our google group.

See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ireland for details.

The Teams are :-

1 Categories Team
2 Counties Team
3 Managed Profiles Team
4 Membership Team
5 Profile Improvement Team
6 Topics Team
7 Diaspora

Can you let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project and which team(s) you’d like to join. Please also let me know your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group or confirm you are already a member of the google group.

Many thanks,

Amy Gilpin Ireland Project Coordinator

Hi Patti and thanks for your post on G2G.

I’ve added the Irish Roots Project badge to your profile. If you click on the badge it will take you to the full list of our wonderful members. Click on Irish Roots Project will take you to the first page of the project. I've added your good self to the member interest page. Here you can let others know which counties or names you are researching etc.

Thanks for joining the project and good luck with your research.

Hi

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As we always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

Hello, just a word (late) to congratulate you on the contributions you made during the month of November. Whatever the quantity, they are all important.

Your work is appreciated. Thanks Guy Constantineau

Hi Patti,

Please understand that when adding or changing relationships on Wikitree, your sources for that change must be provided. I removed the father you added to Martha Thompson. If you read through her profile you will understand the issue.

Hi Patti,

The profiles you're creating from your gedcom don't have any sources. See these: Johns-3679, Unknown-399191, Johns-3687, Fox-11187. When you signed the Honor Code you agreed to provide sources. Before you add any more profiles, please go back and add sources for the ones you've already created. Here are some ideas for finding sources: Space:Jillaine's_Dream_Source_Help_Page Thanks!

Hi Patti - Welcome to Wikitree - we can fix that for sure - on the profile for one or the other, there is a pull down menu under "Add" on the top right hand side. The best way to merge is to put the profile with the highest number first and then the second one would be the profile with the lowest number, that way the most recent profile would be merged into the older one. If there is a difference in the data, one would have to be chosen and it would be the one with the best proof, like a document for birth, marriage or death, which would also have to be added. The clean up after a merge is not that hard and I can help if necessary. So the first thing is to go ahead an initiate a merge, and we'll take it from there.

Hi Patti

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for the Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

Irish Roots led by Maria Maxwell and Leigh Murrain, Scottish Clans leaders Maria Maxwell and Doug Straiton fit your tags.

After joining any project Please add a project tag after joining to your page to receive project activity updates.
