3-63. JOSHUA LONGSTRETH, b. June 20, 1775, in Bucks County, Pa. ; d. at " Barclay Hall," Philadelphia, Jan. 2"^, 1769; m. Nov. 19, 1800, Sarah Williams, daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth (Price) Williams,^ b. 1781 ; d. at "Barclay Hall" March 16, 1848.
' Elizabeth Price was the daughter of Issachar Price, born March 2, 1702, and Sarah Hood, born September 20, 1703. Issachar Price and Sarah Hood were married October 22, 1724; their daughter Elizabeth was born February 28, 1738-9, and married Jesse Williams September 10, 1777.[1]
The Quakers Records on Ancestry.com also documents Jesse's parents Ellis and Lydia Williams and Elizabeth's parents (the late) Issacher and Sarah Price, of whom all but Issacher attended the marriage.
According to Church and Town Records, Elizabeth died January 24, 1828.
Strangely, The Williams Family book has no mention of our Jesse or Ellis, despite the fact that there are many families in the Philadelphia area during the same time period.
I am particularly interested in learning if there is descent from the George Williams who started the YMCA in England, because Sarah's husband hosted some of the earliest YMCA sermons.
