Zilpah William was born March 19, 1776, in Cranston, Providence, Rhode Island, a daughter of Frederick Williams an his wife, Amey Williams. On April 23, 1795, in Providence, Rhode Island, Zilpha married Arthur Mowry Potter, a son of Mowry Potter, born in 1748, in Cranston, Rhode Island, who was the Commander of a Privateer, during the American Revolutionary War. Applications for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants of Arthur Mowry Potter and Zilpha Williams. [1]
Zilpha (Williams) Potter died August 12, 1868, at the age of 92 years and is buried in the Swan Point Cemetery, in Providence, Rhode Island. [2]
