He married Catherine "Nancy" Buzzard in 1832. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Wayne Township, Armstrong, Pennsylvania, United States in 1860 and Redbank Township, Armstrong, Pennsylvania, United States in 1870. He died in 1875, in Kittanning, Armstrong, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 75.
