In the 1900 census John (age 70) was the married head of household in Ottawa, Putnam, Ohio, United States.^[4]

John died on 19 Apr 1901 in Highland, Ohio aged 70. He is buried in Middle Creek Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Roselms, Paulding County, Ohio, USA.^[5]

Research Notes

At some point this profile was connected as a son of John Williams, but this was most likely in error. This John Williams was born in Kentucky and was not white. These profiles appear to be conflated on Family Search and perhaps that is where the original error was made. There is no source to indicate that these two men were father and son.
