Jessie DeForest Williams (13304), the ninth child - sixth son of Harris Pittsford (2391) and Amanda J. Freeman Williams (2633), was born in Trion, Chattooga County, Georgia, on the 18th of December 1883. He was only five years old when his father died. His childhood was robbed ... At the age of seven, he worked in the Weaving Department of the Trion Factory and later worked as a pressman, perhaps at Summerville. He was living with his mother and brother on a small farm in 1910. He married Ellen Quinton (13588) on the 20th of January 1912, in Chattooga County, Georgia. Ellen (13588) was born on the 10th of September, 1892. The family was living on Alabama Street in Summerville, Georgia before January 1920. The couple was married for only thirteen years when Jessie DeForest (13304) died, on the 6th of June 1925, from tuberculosis
