Biography
Elizabeth, daughter of John Williams and his wife, Elizabeth Nicholson, was baptised at Kilham All Saints on 27th January 1824. [1] Her father was a miller and the family lived at Mill House, Kilham. [2]
On 9th March 1843 she married mariner, William Anderson, son of Richard Anderson and his wife, Mary Eggleston. [3] Their son, William George was born in 19th February 1844.
Elizabeth died at Kilham 22 December 1844 and was buried at All Saints on 24th. [4]
"Erected in memory of Elizabeth the wife of William Anderson, marine who died at Kilham December 22nd 1844 aged 2...years. Also of Robert Williams brother to the above who died at Van Die Mans Land January 31st 1844 aged 24 years." [5]
