John was born about 1809 to Mr Williams and Mrs Williams in the district of Llanvaches, Monmouthshire, Wales, United Kingdom.
The March 1851 census[1]shows John living with his wife Elizabeth Williams, sons John and William Williams and lodger James Clarke, a Tailor in The Lodge, Llanvaches, Monmouthshire. His occupation was an Agricultural Labourer.
John passed away on 30 July 1861 in Llanvaches, Monmouthshire and was buried[2]a few days later at Llanvaches Tabernacle Chapel, Llanvaches.
