Myrtice (Williams) Willis is a part of US Black heritage.

Daughter of Judge Williams and Prentice Matthews.

Age 3 in 1920.[1]

Age 14 in 1930.[2]

Myrtice Williams married James Willis 26 Dec 1935 in Spalding County, Georgia.[3]James was born in Pike County.

The 1940 Census lists her as Myrtice Ellis, married, age 23, living in Seminole County, Georgia with James Ellis, husband, age 33, b Georgia.[4]

In 1950 the family was in Griffin. James W Willis was age 39, a vault maker for a carpet company. Myrtice was age 34, occupation maid. Son James Willis Jr. was age 7. Son John Henry Willis was age 6. Daughter Margaret Ann Willis was age 4. Son Tommy L Willis was age 1. Daughter Martha Jane Willis was b March 1950.[5]

James and Myrtice were the parents of Terry Lee Willis, b 1955.[6]Terry was a teacher with the Griffin County Board of Education.
